I am a Swiss citizen with multicultural roots (Swiss/ Vietnamese) and I have lived in many countries all over the globe. I spent one year in Panama as part of a cultural high-school exchange program which awoke my passion to explore the world and immerse myself in new cultures. In this pursuit of adventure, I developed a love for the Ocean through scuba-diving. Over the course of the last years I completed various scuba courses and became an Instructor in Honduras in 2019. Throughout my scuba career, the aspect of marine conservation has become increasingly important to me, which is why I now live in New Zealand studying marine sciences at the Toi-Ohomai Institute of Technology. My goal is to help protect the marine environment from the threats it faces through research and education.
Many aquatic environments are beautiful and look inviting, but can be very dangerous. Since I enjoy being in the water so much, I want to help other people to understand and appreciate these environments as well. Knowing how to behave around water can mean the difference between a fun adventure and a tragedy and I think with my background I can be effective in educating others about this.
All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us. - Gandalf / J.R.R Tolkien
